We’re not exaggerating when we say 2017 has been full on, and that is particularly true for November. Not only have we had had two successful Regional Awards Ceremonies, but we have also had the nominations process for the expanded Devon and Cornwall region, and the launch of the 2018 Thames Valley Venus Awards! Nominations for the 2108 Thames Valley Venus Awards are Now Open
Following our very successful and well-attended launch event at the Madejski Stadium, Reading, the nominations portal for the 2018 Santander Thames Valley Venus Awards is now open. If you know of a businesswoman in the Thames Valley area whose efforts deserve recognition, now is your chance to put their name forward.
Cindy Cameron, the ambassador for the Santander Thames Valley Venus Awards 2018 in association Marshall Volkswagen and partnership with The Breeze. Said,
“It was a great privilege to be involved last year and I’m so excited for the event for 2018. We have a really full house here tonight which is a great start for us. We look forward to seeing anybody that wants to get involved to come forward and contact me or the Venus Team.”
The programme, dubbed “The Working Women’s Oscar’s”, by Channel 4, comprises a seven-month calendar of events designed to find and recognize the brightest female business stars in the region. Recently, Venus Awards founder, Tara Howard said “The Venus Awards celebrate the increasing contribution that women in business make to the local, regional and national economy. This year we will have 15 categories including Influential Woman of the Year, HR Manager of the Year and Green Business of the Year.”
The Venus journey will culminate in a glamorous Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner in The Royal Berkshire Conference Centre at the Madejski Stadium on 8th June 2018, where we will reveal the 2018 winners.
Devon and Cornwall Venus Awards – The Judging Has Begun
Following on from the very successful launch event in Plymouth, we have had a flood of fabulous nominations for the 2018 awards. Nominations for this region have now closed.
Preliminary judging will begin and we will announce the 2018 Semi-finalists on 30th January. The female entrepreneurs selected will then go to through to the next round of judging, and we will announce the finalists on 28th February.
We will reveal the winners of the 2018 Devon and Cornwall Venus Awards Ceremony on 27th April at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Plymouth. Judging by the speed with which the Dorset and Hampshire gala tickets sold out, we’d recommend that you book your tickets early to avoid missing out.
Dorset Venus Awards Winners Announced at Magical Gala in BIC
Dateline 2nd November 2017: The atmosphere in the BIC Bournemouth for the 2017 Dorset Venus Awards was absolutely electric as the 350 local business representatives waited to discover the names of this year’s 15 worthy women winners.
It was a magical evening, blending delicious dining and stunning entertainment culminating in an inspirational awards ceremony. The assembled company enjoyed musical entertainment by the three finalists in the Musical Talent Category, followed by a mind boggling performance by top UK close-up magician and stage illusionist James Brown. 2017 Hampshire Venus Awards Winners Celebrated in Style
The new super-size region, which spans Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Basingstoke and the Isle of Wight, generated over 1500 nominations and applications for one or more of the 15 categories.
Co-hosted by Venus Awards founder Tara Howard and Eastleigh MP Mims Davies, and compèred TV Presenter Michael Kurn. Rock Singer Nathan James provided superb entertainment during the evening which culminated in an inspirational and emotional awards ceremony.
