Over 350 people attended the extremely glamorous and exclusive “social event of the business calendar” – the Venus Awards Ceremony [dubbed the “Working Women’s Oscars”,] which took place at the incredible Hilton at the Ageas Bowl on Friday 15th April.
The Awards, once again, drew over a thousand nominations and applications, and attracted dozens of sponsors and supporters. Once again, we will be welcoming a select group of inspirational, driven and successful local women in business into the very exclusive Venus Awards Winner’s Circle.

What our Sponsors & Supporters Say
“We started out our journey with you as one of the first companies to come on board with the awards and the reaction we have had has been fantastic. It’s opened up all kinds of opportunities and conversations for us, and having our category’s winner, Sarah Cressall, crowned National Entrepreneur of the Year really was the icing on the cake.”
“It’s a great vehicle to allow people to get to know each other and chat informally without pressure at the events. It was heart wrenching to choose our Finalists and then Winner…all the women were so good and had such fascinating stories about how they had built their own successful businesses.”
“The opportunity to be a nominee, or even winner of this prestigious award presents a wonderful platform to raise the profile of your business (the media love successful women in business), and the benefit of a great network for valuable information exchange with like-minded women.”
“Nat West is delighted to be the Title Sponsor of the Venus Awards and we are looking forward to celebrating women who are achieving amazing things in all sorts of business.”
“The Venus Awards generate immense excitement and exposure locally for all involved and are embracing both men and women. We are looking forward to supporting the 2014 awards and beyond.”
“We are involved in many events and this is among the very best.”

“I feel very proud and delighted to see that my efforts are being rewarded. All the time, money and effort put into the website and social media have come to fruition. It feels amazing to know it wasn’t for nothing and that it was appreciated by both our customers and our peers alike.”
“Our clients have been commenting on the finalist status and telling us how impressed they are with it. I would say it has shown the clients how committed we are to excellence within our business.”
“I felt a huge amount of pride when receiving the award. Also my colleague Hannah Rowley received the Employee of the Year award which doubled the pride in our small team.”
“Personally I was feeling slightly demotivated before being involved with Venus Awards, so this whole process gave me the kick I needed!”
“The awards have made me appreciate the work I do and has given me confidence in my ability in more ways – running my own business, to network more effectively with other women and their businesses and to take chances and become more creative with my talent.”
“These awards are empowering women to lead more courageously.I have personally encouraged many women to apply as I know the award will not only acknowledge the work they are doing but will also inspire women to continue to achieve their vision.”
“The greatest feeling is to be publicly recognised for the business you have worked so hard to create. The awards are also such an amazing opportunity to meet so many like minded and successful business owners all striving to reach their goals. It is very inspirational.
“It’s great to be recognised for doing well at what you do. Working in your own business can be lonely and stressful. This recognition helps me realise that I do love working in my business and makes it feel all the more rewarding.”
