More than Tea for Two at the Dorset Venus Awards 2016 Finalists Announcement in association with Mercedes-Benz of Poole!
It was more than tea for two at the Dorset Venus Awards 2016 in association with Mercedes-Benz of Poole Finalists Announcement at the Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth.
The Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth hosted this year’s Finalist’s Announcement of the Dorset Venus Awards in association with Mercedes-Benz of Poole on Friday 2nd September 2016.
Over 100 guests that included Semi-Finalists, Sponsors and guests were treated to an afternoon tea in the hotel’s stunning art-deco surroundings while waiting for the big announcement about who would progress as Finalists to the Venus Awards Winners Ceremony in October.
The Awards in Dorset were launched at Playgolf Bournemouth in April this year and participants have been whittled down to the Finalists stage by either sponsor judging or public voting. Sponsors and candidates have attended a variety of events over the intervening months to reach this point.
The Awards celebrate the vital contribution that women in business make to the local, regional, and national economy. The Awards are unique in that anyone can nominate a friend, client or family member.
Two new categories have been introduced in Dorset this year – Inspirational Woman in Technology (STEM disciplines) and Musical Talent.
Tara Mussell, Managing Directress of Ratio and sponsor of the Digital Media and Online Business of the Year category, says of the event and their support of the Venus Awards,
“The Cumberland Hotel was a fantastic location to celebrate this year’s outstandingly talented Venus Awards Finalists. The atmosphere was electric, as the afternoon was filled with a few nerves, lots of laughter and plenty of cake.”
“It was a heart-warming and proud experience for all to watch such talented and hardworking women take to the stage to be announced as Venus Finalists for Dorset. The October Awards Ceremony will be a brilliant and inspiring evening to give Dorset business women the praise and celebration they truly deserve.”
Talbot Heath School is sponsoring the ever-popular Business Mother of the Year Award, one of two categories that are voted for by the public.
This year’s Charity Sponsor is BOO whose aim is to help African children who are disadvantaged through economic poverty.
The Venus journey will culminate in a glamorous Ceremony and Gala Dinner to be held at Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday 20th October 2016.
