The Finalists of the ATLAS ELEKTRONIK UK Inspirational Woman in Science and Technology category in the NatWest Dorset Venus Awards 2017 in association with Mercedes-Benz of Poole were announced at Hallmark Hotels on Friday, 8th September 2017.
All Finalists have been invited to join the Sponsors and their fellow Finalists at the Venus Awards Ceremony – dubbed by Channel 4 as The Working Women’s Oscars on Thursday, 2nd November 2017 at the BIC in Bournemouth.
Venus Awards was formed in 2009 by Tara Howard expressly to recognise and reward business women who balance their numerous commitments whilst making a considerable contribution to the regional and national economies. By raising awareness of the successful women in our midst in this fashion it further underlines the economic force that women have become.
From early beginnings, in Dorset, the Awards are now active across nine regions with more planned for future expansion. The Awards are unique in that anyone can nominate a friend, client or family member and with three categories that go to a public vote. Each Award category is sponsored by a business or organisation based within each Awards region.
In the Dorset area, Atlas Elektronik UK is one of the largest employers of scientific and technical staff with a workforce of over 300 employees, many of whom hold post degree qualifications and are members of professional institutes. Within the Company, they pride themselves on their innovation and world-leading technology.
