Bristol Venus Awards Official Website

The Venus Awards Bristol 2014 proved a time to remember!  With over 200 exclusive guests attended the culminating debut of the extremely glamorous and exclusive ‘“social event of the business calendar’” – the Venus Awards Ceremony [dubbed the Working Women’s Oscars,]  at the wonderful Bristol Marriott on Friday, March 21, 2014.

Receiving over one thousand nominations and applications, the Awards, once again, drew over a thousand nominations and applications, and attracted dozens of sponsors and supporters.  Once again, we welcomed a select group of inspirational, driven and successful local women in business into the very exclusive Venus Awards Winner’s Circle.

What our Sponsors & Supporters Say

“We started out our journey with you as one of the first companies to come on board with the awards and the reaction we have had has been fantastic. It’s opened up all kinds of opportunities and conversations for us, and having our category’s winner, Sarah Cressall, crowned National Entrepreneur of the Year really was the icing on the cake.”

Hazel Tucker Hazel Tucker – Bishop Fleming

“The opportunity to be a nominee, or even winner of this prestigious award presents a wonderful platform to raise the profile of your business (the media love successful women in business), and the benefit of a great network for valuable information exchange with like-minded women.”

Debbie Moore Debbie Moore – O.B.E Founder & Chairman, Pineapple

“Nat West is delighted to be the Title Sponsor of the Venus Awards and we are looking forward to celebrating women who are achieving amazing things in all sorts of business.”

Mark Ryan Mark Ryan – Heart Radio (Dorset)

“We are involved in many events and this is among the very best.”

David Ramsden David Ramsden – Federation of Small Businesses

“It’s a great vehicle to allow people to get to know each other and chat informally without pressure at the events. It was heart wrenching to choose our Finalists and then Winner…all the women were so good and had such fascinating stories about how they had built their own successful businesses.”

  • “I would highly recommend nominating yourself or a friend, if only for the experience of the Awards ceremony, being surrounded by and hearing the great stories from other like minded business women and seeing what they have also achieved, I found it very inspiring and personally it gave me a real boost, as so often all you feel is the hard slog of work!”

  • “I was really impressed with the Awards Ceremony itself. Becoming involved in the awards is a great way of getting to know your business community whether you walk away with a prize or not.

  • “Venus Awards offers a chance to extend your horizons and enrich your current business in more ways than you could imagine.”

  • “Winning a Venus award has raised my profile amongst the local business community. I have won business as a direct result and gained additional publicity via my press releases.”

  • “The impact of this on my business has been fantastic. It’s really raised awareness that the cookery school exists, and resulted in lots of enquiries and bookings.”

  • “It was really lovely to be recognised by my peers and clients, and even more so to be short-listed by the judges, who had not met nor spoken with me. When we work alone we rarely get impromptu feedback so it’s nice to be noticed for what you set out to achieve.”

  • “Winning the Customer Service category has been a huge boost to What The Frock! Comedy. Being a publicly voted category, it is a huge confidence injection to know that all those people who voted for us took the time to do so because they value and appreciate what we do with our business.”
