As a result of winning the Inspirational Woman category, Compare and Share has been viewed as a winner and went on to win TechPitch and was selected as Best Startup of 2013. Our growing number of awards has contributed to our extensive media coverage including: BBC Radio 4 Today Programme, features in Sunday Telegraph, Mail on Sunday, Sydney Morning Herald, CBC, Guardian and Metro and helped our crowdfunding campaign by enabling us to attract a crowd of 157 investors becoming the first company to triple our target on equity based platform Crowdcube raising £151,000 in December 2013.
The number of public speaking engagements I have been booked for has doubled since winning the Inspirational Woman award and I have received extensive coverage in global media.
In addition, I have won several consultancy projects and writing opportunities. I have also been approached by other organisations supporting women leaders and women social innovators.
